Roo crash lands biker in hospital

A motorcyclist was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital yesterday after he crashed into a kangaroo in Herron.

The man was driving along South Estuary Road when he hit the animal about 4.20pm.

He was taken to hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter and is being treated for what it believed to be bruising and a broken collarbone.

A police spokeswoman said the kangaroo got up after the accident and hopped away.
