Police probe Balcatta car fires

Police are investigating a fire which destroyed three cars at a Balcatta home overnight.

The fire started in the carport of a Morley Drive house about 1.50am.

It ripped through a Peugeot, Ford Festiva and Hyundai, before spreading to a nearby pergola.

Firefighters managed to limit the damage to about $24,000.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the cause of the blaze was suspicious.
