A taxi driver was dragged from his car and bashed after an argument over a fare in Fremantle, police allege.
The driver had taken a man and woman from a Morley address to Fremantle about 1am.
When they arrived in Fremantle, the man allegedly argued with the taxi driver about the fare.
He then dragged the taxi driver from the car, punched him in the head and kicked him when he fell to the ground, police claim.
A 26-year-old Irish national, who is in Australia travelling, was charged with assaulting a public officer.
