Syringe and knife used in hold-up

Liam Croy, The West Australian January 18, 2013, 5:32 am

A man used a syringe and a knife to hold-up a Dalkeith bottleshop last night.

About 7.30pm, the thief entered the Liquor Barons at the corner of Robert Street and Waratah Avenue. Inspector Trevor Davis said he reportedly threatened staff with a syringe and a knife before leaving the store.

Staff described the offender as a 185cm tall, Caucasian man in his 40s. Police later apprehended a man nearby who matched that description.

Insp. Davis said he was helping police with inquiries but had not been charged. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
