A 38-year-old man will face court today after he allegedly held up a restaurant in Midland with a pair of scissors last night.

The man entered an Indian restaurant on Great Eastern Highway at 8.45pm and stole money from the till before running off.

A police spokesman said a member of the canine unit located the man hiding in bushes off Byers Road in Woodbridge.

"It only took the one bark from the dog for the man to give up and come out," he said.

The man will appear in Midland Magistrate's Court today facing a robbery charge.
