Police seized a sword after a brawl in Koondoola last night which left one man in hospital.
Officers were called to Swincer Way just after 9pm when a fight broke out between two groups of youths and were forced to block off the street.
Inspector Ian Clarke said some of the men were holding bats, poles and even a sword.
It was unclear if the sword was used in the fight.
Five people were hurt in the brawl but all received only minor injuries.A man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with head injuries but the other injured people refused medical attention.
