Police are searching for a boy who robbed an 81-year-old woman in Redcliffe yesterday morning, leaving her with cuts and extensive bruises.
The woman, who is an aged pensioner, crossed Gardiner Street about 9am and had just stepped on to the footpath on Belvidere Street outside Redcliffe IGA when the boy walked past her.
He then turned and grabbed the woman's handbag strap, causing her to spin and fall.
The woman landed on her right side and face and suffered grazes and bruising to her face, arm and body.
She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
