A retired couple who have now claimed an incredible three division one Lotto wins were part of a ten-member syndicate to walk through the Lotterywest doors as winners today.
The couple said their secret to winning was to "stick with it" and to participate in a syndicate.
The syndicate, sold at Nextra Riverton, has been running for the last five years and delivered its members a prize worth almost $150,000 each.
"Each time I have won it's been on a syndicate. It's the best way to play because you can increase your chances of winning and then when you do win, you get to share that winning feeling with others," the man said.
"It's certainly been working for me."
The couple said some of the prize would be shared among their children, while the remainder would make the perfect bonus to help them enjoy their retirement years.
WA's newest division one winners from the weekend's $30 million Saturday Lotto Megadraw arrived at Lotterywest today to each collect their $1.4 million winnings.
A young couple from Kwinana also wasted no time collecting their $1.4 million prize before the New Year kicks in. The couple said their Lotto windfall had come following a run of bad luck.
The couple said the first thing that came to mind when they realised they had struck lucky was being able to support their children and making sure they had everything they needed for their future.
"Life is going to change dramatically. We are not going to have to struggle and it's like a massive weight has been lifted off our shoulders.
"We can now live the Aussie dream and buy our first home to raise our family in," they said.
The young couple purchased their winning ticket from Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and News.Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from the division one winners who picked up their ticket from Leda Lottery Centre and Newsagency.
