Police are searching for two offenders who broke into a liquor store in Cloverdale in the early hours of this morning.

About 3am, the offenders used a sledge hammer to smash a hole in the wall of the Belgravia Street store.

After a failed attempt to access cash, the pair collected bottles of spirits in a shopping basket before fleeing.

The two offenders were both wearing balaclavas and are described as dark skinned.
