A would-be Federal politician has been left high and dry after thieves made off with her campaign ute.

Liberal candidate for Brand Donna Gordin got a call from campaign staff yesterday, telling her the vehicle had been taken from her Safety Bay home.

“They asked me who was driving the ute and I said ‘nobody, its in the garage at home’,” Ms Gordin told Seven News.

“Then they said we’ve got a problem.”

Thieves fuelled up the ute at a nearby petrol station before driving off.

The distinctive white ute is emblazoned with Ms Gordin’s name, face and several blue Liberal Party logos.

Anyone who spots the ute should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
