Charge over adult bookshop robbery

A 35-year-old Beaconsfield man and a 51-year-old South Fremantle woman have been charged over an armed robbery at an adult bookshop in Fremantle.

The pair allegedly went into the Elder Place store about 12.50pm on Sunday, November 11 and looked around before approaching the front counter.

Police claim the man then pulled out a replica handgun and threatened the female shop attendant.

He allegedly demanded money and was given cash before fleeing.

The 35-year-old man and the 51-year-old woman have both been charged with aggravated armed robbery.

The man is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrate's Court today and a court date is yet to be set for the woman.
