Glassing investigation nets wounding charge

STAFF REPORTER, The West Australian November 19, 2012, 7:09 pm

A 25-year-old Port Kennedy man has been charged with unlawful wounding today after a four-month police investigation into a glassing at a Rockingham nightclub.

About 8:45pm on July 26, a 33-year-old Waikiki man was arguing with a group of men in the beer garden of the Pink Duck Lounge Bar when he was allegedly punched several times.

The man walked to the front bar area in an effort to avoid the fight before the Port Kennedy man allegedly smashed a pint glass into the right side of his neck.

He is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrate's Court on December 14.
