Cyclist, teen pedestrian injured in crashes

A 13-year-old boy and a cyclist have been injured in separate crashes near Scarborough.

The teenager was hit by a car at the intersection of Flamborough Street and Scarborough Beach Road, just 4.45pm.

He suffered minor injuries to head, and has been taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.

Earlier on, a cyclist was thrown from his bike when he was hit by a car on Pearl Parade.

The man suffered injuries to his head and leg, and has been taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
