A man has been charged with allegedly threatened people with a blood-filled syringe and a knife in a string of robberies in the past six weeks.
The regional investigation unit apprehended the 27-year-old Leeming man yesterday after an investigation into eight incidents between October 8 and October 27.
The man allegedly targeted liquor stores, services stations, fast food restaurants and a supermarket in Mount Pleasant, Bullcreek, Myaree, Attadale, Murdoch and Ardross.
He allegedly used a knife to threaten people, but at a Mount Pleasant Supermarket he allegedly threatened to stab staff with a blood-filled syringe.
Police say he stole cash from most of the businesses.He will appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court today facing six counts of armed robbery and two counts of attempted armed robbery.
