Motorcyclist hit by ladder on freeway

A motorcyclist has been injured after being struck by a ladder which fell from a truck on the Mitchell Freeway this evening.

The crash occurred northbound, just south of Powis Street in Glendalough at about 7pm.

The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital via St John Ambulance. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Main Roads is urging drivers to avoid the area or expect delays.

Emergency services are at the crash site.
