A bushfire in a pine plantation near Yanchep is creating a smoke hazard on roads, the department of fire and emergency services has warned.
The fire, which started yesterday afternoon, is burning to the west of Military Road north of Yanchep.
DEC reportedly worked overnight back-burning the area to prevent the flames spreading.
Two fixed-wing water bombers were deployed yesterday to help contain the blaze.
No homes are at risk but the Fire and Emergency Services department has warned motorists to be cautious when driving in the area, and for home owners to remain alert.
Meanwhile people at or near Glen Ayle Station in Wiluna are advised to keep up to date on the behaviour of a fire buring about 25km south west of the station.
The fire, near Sydney Heads Road, is causing a lot of smoke and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
There is currently no threat to life or homes.
There are also a number of fires burning along the Canning Stock Route from Windich Spring to Lake Disappointment. There is no threat to lives or homes but there is a lot of smoke in the area. Motorists are urged to avoid or use caution when driving in the area.
