Remembrance Day poppies stolen

About 2000 Remembrance Day poppies were stolen in Scarborough overnight.

The flowers were in a box stolen from a garage in Abbett Street sometime between 9pm last night and 6am this morning.

Police are advising people to be vigilant when purchasing Remembrance Day poppies from anyone without a uniform or an official RSL collection card.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
