A man who was injured when he ran into a moving car in Scarborough last night told police he had been chasing a seagull at the time.
Insp David Picton-King said the man had been drinking with a friend before he hit the vehicle at the intersection of West Coast Highway and Scarborough Beach Road about 6.50pm.
Insp. Picton-King said the man had reportedly been chasing the bird across the median strip.
A nurse who was at the scene treated the man until an ambulance arrived.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital under priority conditions.
It is believed he suffered a broken leg.
The man is this morning in a stable condition in hospital.Sponsored links
