Lotto jackpots to $100 million

OZLotto has jackpotted to $100 million, the highest in Australian lotto history, after no-one won tonight’s division one $70m draw.

The prize pool has ballooned because no one has won the division one prize for the last eight weeks, making it the biggest jackpot in Australian history, Lotterywest spokeswoman Jodie Nunn said.

Last night saw two West Australian punters win $53,000 in the division two category, and 255,586 West Australian players won smaller prizes in the draw.

More than 768,000 tickets were sold for the $70 million draw and a massive 1.2 million people in WA are expected to try their luck on the $100 million lottery.

“We expect every adult in the state to purchase a ticket,” Ms Nunn said.

Ticket sales over the last eight weeks have raised $16 million for Western Australian charities, she said.
