Shark forces beach closure at Ocean Reef

The West Australian October 21, 2012, 9:55 am

Rangers from the City of Joondalup have closed beaches around the Ocean Reef Boat Harbour because of a shark sighting.

A tagged Great White Shark has been detected in the area and was also sighted by surfers about 200 metres from the shore this morning.

The beach 500 metres north and south of the boat harbour will remain closed until the sharks swim away from the area.
