Fremantle Dockers captain Matthew Pavlich is set to become a dad after the announcement of his wife’s pregnancy on Twitter last night.
“Very excited about our 20-week scan results( today. Half way there @laurenpav!!” he tweeted to friends and fans.
Fans took to social media to congratulate the six-time best and fairest winner and his wife Lauren.
“Awwwww Pavlich is gonna be a dad!!!” user Jacqui tweeted.
“Onya Pav, hopefully a docker in the makeng (sic),” Vicki Billngton posted on Facebook.
The news was shared by the club, which also tweeted its congratulations to the couple.
The pregnancy had been kept under wraps, with Mrs Pavlich appearing in a carefully draped dress by fashion designer Alvin Fernandez that deftly concealed her bump at the Dockers medal presentation this month. The couple married in December 2010 and this will be their first child.
