Pedestrian hit by crane in Kalgoorlie

Update, 2.50pm: A man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a crane in West Kalgoorlie this morning.

The man was walking near the intersection of Great Eastern Highway and Williams Street when he was struck by the crane, which was on the back of a truck, just before 10am.

The man suffered serious head injures and is due to be airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

Great Eastern Highway is closed between Williams Street and Hunter Street and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
