Man lit fire on road verge, cops allege

A 29-year-old man will appear in Armadale Court today after he was allegedly seen igniting fuel on Armadale Road last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Gribble Avenue, Armadale, when the man was allegedly spotted pouring petrol from a jerry can onto the verge of the road.

FESA put out the fire before it spread.

The Seville Grove man was charged with wilfully lighting a fire likely to cause damage and carrying an article with intent to injure.
