An Australind woman charged with manslaughter after her boyfriend died from an alleged stab wound to the chest has been granted bail.

Rachael Elizabeth Boyd appeared in the Supreme Court this morning via video link from Bandyup Women’s Prison for a bail application.

Ms Boyd had been charged with murder over the death of her 29-year-old partner Trent John Panizza in January but this was later downgraded to manslaughter.

Police allege Mr Panizza died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Ms Boyd has pleaded not guilty and is expected to stand trial in Bunbury in November.
