The police dog squad has notched up yet another success this week after apprehending a man in Caversham early this morning.
About 1am Midland officers spotted a Ford Utility driving around Midvale with damage to its rear bumper.
When police tried to pull the vehicle over it accelerated away but run out of petrol on Middle Swan Road.
Two people in the car ran away.
The dog squad were called in and after about an hour of searching one of the men who had run from the vehicle was found by police dog Tyson.
The man had been hiding in bushes on Bertram Road in Caversham.
The vehicle had been stolen from a workshop on Elmsfield Road in Midvale.
A 28-year-old man from Ballajura will appear in Midland Magistrate's Court today charged with aggravated burglary, stealing a motor vehicle and no authority to drive.
