UPDATE: Detectives have charged two men after people in Perth's southern suburbs were terrorised by men armed with axes in an hour-long rampage last night.
Police have charged an 18-year-old man from Success and a 21-year-old Yangebup man after the rampage in Hamilton Hill and Spearwood last night.
Police allege the two men carried axes and entered homes on Rockingham Road and Hood Street in Hamilton Hill, then hacked at the door of a house on Goffe Street in Spearwood between 7.15pm and 7.55pm last night.
It is alleged they terrorised young women inside both the Rockingham Road and Hood Street properties and stole items from the house.
The men allegedly failed to gain entry at the Goffe Street home and allegedly smashed the windscreen of a car parked out front before leaving.
It is also alleged the men threatened staff at Pharmacy 777 at the intersection of Rockingham Road and Spearwood Avenue about 8.15pm.
At 10:25pm police apprehended four men in a white Holden Commodore sedan matching the description of the car used in the raids in Ophir Court Hamilton Hill.
The 18-year-old has been charged with aggravated armed robbery, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary with intent, being armed in a way that may cause fear, two counts of criminal damage and trespass.
The 21-year-old man was already subject to an arrest warrant and has been charged with reckless driving, having no authority to drive, giving a false name, driving in excess of 0.02, driving an unlicensed vehicle and accessory after the fact aggravated robbery.The men are scheduled to appear in Fremantle Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
