Women arrested after city rampage

An axe-wielding woman who was seen smashing the windows of vehicles parked in the CBD this morning, has been arrested by police.

Police were called to the scene just before midday after passersby reported the incident on Hay Street near Victoria Avenue.

The woman was in the company of two others when she went on a rampage, damaging several cars including a Mitsubishi Pajero parked on the side of Hay Street.

All three women were apprehended and are in custody being questioned.
