Major crash investigators are asking for the public's assistance after a crash in Henley Brook left a 71-year-old man in a critical but stable condition.
The Greenfields man sustained life-threatening injuries after he attempted to cross West Swan Road from the westbound lane to the eastbound lane.
He had just left a function and was walking towards his accommodation for the night at the Swan Valley Oasis Resort when he was struck by a Honda travelling south about 9.25pm on Saturday.
The Honda's driver, a 43-year-old East Victoria Park woman stopped at the scene and assisted the man until ambulance crews arrived.
The elderly man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries.Anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
