Police are hunting two men after a woman was repeatedly punched during an attempted abduction in Rivervale last night.

The 31-year-old woman got off a bus opposite Peet Park and was walking home along Kooyong Road about 7.50pm when a small red car drove past her as she approached the intersection of Wright Street.

The men in the vehicle yelled out at her.

The car then turned around and drove back towards her.

One of the men then got out of the vehicle and asked the woman to get into the car. When she refused, he dragged her by the hair towards the car and punched her in the face.

As she continued to resist, another man got out of the vehicle and also punched her in the face before the car drove away.

The first man is described as having dark skin, about 17-25years old and of slim build. He was wearing black jeans and a white top.

The second man is described as having dark skin, about 25-30 years old and wearing a white cap, red top and black pants.

Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
