Man critical after hit by car

A 71-year-old is in a critical but stable condition after he was hit by a car in Henley Brook last night.

The Greenfields man was attempting to cross West Swan Road when he was struck by a Honda travelling south about 9.25pm.

The Honda's driver, a 43-year-old East Victoria Park woman stopped at the scene and assisted the man until ambulance crews arrived.

The elderly man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.

Major crash investigators are examining the incident.
