Car crashes into Thornlie house

Police are investigating after a car hit a house in Thornlie last night.

A 23-year-old Huntingdale man, who was driving a Holden Commodore, crashed into an elderly man’s home on Warton Road at about 11.50pm.

The elderly man, who was home at the time, was not injured but the driver was taken to Armadale Hospital with minor facial injuries.

Fire and Rescue officers and the State Emergency Service attended the scene to assist with repairs to the damage, including a ruptured gas pipe to the house.

The driver has not been charged.
