Maddington speargun terror

Police last night caught a man armed with a loaded spear gun in a park in Maddington yesterday.

About 4pm the man was allegedly spotted shouting and screaming in the Westfield Road park before getting into a car and driving away.

Police spotted him at another location in Maddington and gave chase, when he failed to stop.

The chase ended on Waratah Court, where the man threw the speargun over a fence, and was arrested.

He has been charged with Being Armed to Cause Fear, Failure to Stop, No Manual Drivers License, Possession of a Prohibited

Drug and Criminal Damage, and will appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court today.
