A car has crashed into the front bedroom of a house in Ellenbrook, causing $30,000 damage.

Police and fire and rescue services officers were called to the Brookmount Drive property just before 8pm.

The front bedroom of the property was damaged, but no significant structural damage was caused, a Fire and Emergency Services Authority spokesman said.

Police have impounded the car, believed to belong to the driver's father.

The crash occurred about 100m from the driver's home.
