One of WA’s wealthiest men, Russian-born entrepreneur Eugeni ‘Zhenya’ Tsvetnenko will face court next month on weapon charges.
Mr Tsvetnenko and his co-accused, former Olympic boxer Adam Tony Forsyth did not appear in the Perth Magistrate’s court today but were represented by lawyer, Ben Jackson.
The pair were charged with possession of a controlled weapon.
It is alleged the two men were caught with a bow and arrow at a Mosman Park reserve about 2pm on Saturday, May 19.
Both Mr Tsvetnenko and Mr Forsyth will fight the charges. The trial is scheduled for September 24.
A university drop-out, Mr Tsvetnenko made his fortune by setting up a business that enabled customers to receive paid SMS entertainment services on their mobile phones. His company later expanded to mobile phone advertising.
In 2010 he was named one of Australia’s richest people under the age of 40, appearing in BRW magazine’s Young Rich List with more than $100 million to his name.
The flamboyant millionaire and his wife Lydia are known on the Perth social scene for their lavish parties, including their $600,000 wedding ceremony.Mr Forsyth competed for Australia at the 2004 Athens Olympics in the men’s heavyweight division.
