Indecent assault at suburban bus stop

Detectives are searching for a man who indecently assaulted an 18-year-old woman at a suburban bus stop this morning.

Mirrabooka Detectives are investigating the assault that occurred at 8am at a bus stop in Australis Avenue, Mirrabooka.

The woman, from Mirrabooka, was talking on her mobile phone while seated at the bus stop when she was indecently assaulted by a man who had been standing behind her.

"The victim screamed and the offender ran off towards Wintersweet Ramble," a police spokesman said.

The offender is described as middle-aged, with a dark complexion, solid build, 183cm to 188cm tall and with a moustache.

He is believed to have been wearing a beanie, a big grey puffy jacket and light-grey tracksuit pants.

"Anyone who was in that area this morning and saw any person matching that description or who has any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," police said.
