'Money, money money' burglar charged

A man has been charged over a break in and serious assault in Tuart Hill on Friday night.

Police allege the man was one of two people who broke into a home in North Beach Drive and yelled "money, money, money".

The pair allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old man at the house with an item believed to be an iron bar.

The victim received several injuries including cuts to the top of his head, face and arm and a fractured wrist and was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for surgery.

A 30-year-old Tuart Hill man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and aggravated armed robbery.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today.
