Thousands of nerds, dweebs and geeks turned out to Claremont Showgrounds over the weekend for the 10th annual Supernova pop culture expo.

Although not everyone fitted into the aforementioned stereotype, others embraced it wholeheartedly, dressing up as their favourite characters.

From old favourites such as Batman to new pop icons like Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi, hundreds lived out their fantasies over the two-day nerdfest.

The biggest crowds were huddled around stars such as Christopher Lloyd (“Doc” Brown from the Back to the Future trilogy), Verne Troyer (Mini Me in Austin Powers) and Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones).

Others stars included Mercedes McNab (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Natalia Tena (Game of Thrones and Harry Potter) and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica).
