Man critical with gun shot injury

Police are investigating a weekend incident in which a teenager received a gun shot wound to the head.

Major Crime Squad officers and Rockingham detectives are at a Hope Valley address.

The incident occurred about 8.30pm.

Police said the 18-year-old man was with friends at a residence when he received the head injury.

He is in a critical condition in hospital.

Police have confirmed that the man received a gun shot wound but the circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear.
