Tomahawk, machete used in hold-ups

PHOEBE WEARNE, The West Australian February 25, 2012, 2:02 pm

Staff members at two bottle shops north of Perth have been threatened with weapons during robberies this morning.

A man threatened staff at a Leederville liquor store with a machete about 11.38am.

Just three minutes later two men drove through a drive-through bottle shop on Fitzgerald Street in North Perth and threatened staff with a small tomahawk.

A police spokeswoman said it was believed the two incidents could be linked.
