Crowd controller charged after bar eviction

A crowd controller who allegedly tackled a man outside a bar on Murray Street last night has been charged.

In a statement today, police say the 31-year-old man was evicting a 25-year-old man from the bar when he was struck with an object, causing a wound to his nose.

Police will allege the crowd controller tackled the man to the ground, causing the man to lose consciousness at about 1.30am.

The crowd controller was charged with acts with intent to cause assault and occasioning bodily harm.

He will appear in Perth Magistrate's Court on March 9.

The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
