Pharmacy bandits miss out

Kate Bastians, The West Australian February 10, 2012, 8:40 am

Police are hunting for two men who broke into a pharmacy early this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the men used a crowbar to smash their way into the Macquarie Boulevard pharmacy in Hammond Park, 20km south of Perth.

"They stole cold and flu tablets which did not contain pseudoephedrine, so I don't know what the point of that was," she said.

Pseudoephedrine is often used in the manufacture of the illegal drug methylamphetamine.

The men broke several shop displays before fleeing about 1.30am.
