Police probe house fire

Police are investigating a suspicious fire in a vacant house near Mandurah this morning.

A Fire and Emergency Services Authority spokesman said the blaze gutted a single story home on Nerine Street in Falcon about 3am.

"It's done a fair bit of damage," he said.

There is a severe fire danger warning for the inland sub district of the Central West District, which includes the inland parts of Geraldton, Carnamah, Chapman Valley, Coorow and Dandaragan.
