Power outages cause traffic light blackouts

Kate Bastians, The West Australian February 9, 2012, 12:04 pm

Power outages are being blamed for six traffic light black-outs in several suburbs.

A Western Power spokeswoman said the power went off in Hazelmere and Landsdale about 8.15am, affecting about 4000 customers.

Traffic lights are not working in several of Perth's northern suburbs, including the corner of Erindale Road and Beach Road, and Dorchester Avenue and Beach Road in Warwick.

Lights have also blacked out on Warwick Road and Wanneroo Road, and Marangaroo Drive and Templeton Crescent in Girrawheen.

Beach Road and Wanneroo Road in Balga and Highclere Boulevard and Marangaroo Drive in Marangaroo have also been affected.
