Multiple shark sightings close Perth beaches

UPDATE: 12.40PM Three Perth beaches were shut for the second time this morning after two more sharks were spotted.

The Westpac Helicopter spotted the 3m tiger sharks about 11.30am.

One was sighted 400m off Brighton beach heading south-west.

The other was sighted 100m offshore mid-way between Trigg and Scarborough Beaches.

Trigg, Scarborough and Brighton beaches have now been re-opened.

Earlier today Floreat, City Beach, Fremantle, Trigg and Scarborough were shut down after several shark sightings.

A 4.5m tiger shark was sighted 150m off Fremantle Beach, 2m hammerhead and a 3.5m unidentified species of shark were sighted of Floreat.

Surf Life Saving WA said it was unclear whether the two most recent shark sightings were the same sharks spotted this morning.
