She's been a fraulein, a school m'arm and in the eyes of some a witch.

Now Julia Gillard has been stuffed - and turned into a bear.

But she is not alone as a local store in Hawaii has featured Ms Gillard and several other Asia Pacific leaders as teddy bears in a make-believe Oval Office.

The Teddy Bear World, in down town Waikiki, is even offering Ms Gillard the chance to take home her bear-likeness if she makes the short walk into the store's "bear museum".

Made in South Korea, the 150cm tall bear of Ms Gillard features her red hair, a navy jacket, pearls and an Australian flag. And a cute as a button nose.

She stands next to the bear image of NZ Prime Minister John Key while a true Russian bear - Russian leader Dimitry Medvedev - is also in the room.

A bear of President Barack Obama takes centre stage. For $US15 you can get a picture with Bear Obama's hand on your shoulder and Gillard bear looking on.

A likeness of the PM featured in a minor international incident at last year's G20 meeting in South Korea where a marionette of world leaders portrayed the Australian leader as an Austrian milk maid.

After that mistake was recognized officials gave the doll a quick dash of black paint - and turned the PM into a school head mistress.
