When little Jackson Keleher was born, his brain was starved of oxygen. Doctors said he’d never walk and he’d never talk, but his father David never gave up.

When we first introduced you to this brave little boy late last year, he was undergoing treatment after treatment, pushing himself harder and harder. It was a story about a father’s love and a fighting Australian spirit.

Almost a year on, Chris Bath visits the Kelehers for the happiest day of all. Jackson is not only speaking, but is telling his Dad he loves him. See the pint-sized hero deliver a special message for Australia.

After our initial story went to air, Sunday Night host Chris Bath became Jackson’s nominated Charity ambassador.

“The whole nation fell in love with Jacko on Sunday Night. His courage and determination are amazing. I’m backing him, like the rest of Australia, to one day walk, talk, fly but we need to help Jackson so he can keep conquering disability,” she said.

“Our challenge is to meet the ongoing costs of therapy & care as he grows up, & give him appropriate housing so he can enjoy an independent future.”

As Bath said, while Jackson is making remarkable progress, his battle is far from over - he needs further financial assistance to help pay for his specialized care.

Jackson's godfathers have established the charity Walk Talk Fly to look after their beloved boy and other children with Cerebral Palsy – CLICK HERE to find out more about the charity's good work and to make a donation. You can also visit their Facebook page.
