The man charged with killing Keith man Navarone Hutchins has been remanded in custody during a court appearance in Victoria today.

He appeared in the Mildura Magistrates Court this afternoon, and is to reappear tomorrow when Major Crime Detectives will apply for his extradition to South Australia.

Acting on information from SA Police, Victorian officers arrested the 20-year-old Keith man at Robinvale late last night.

The body of a man, believed to be 23-year-old Navarone Hutchins, was discovered beside a dirt track on the outskirts of Keith on Tuesday after police conducted a search of the area.

Mr Hutchins was last seen on Friday night at an address in Gaynor Avenue at Keith.
