Body found at Hillier treated as suspicious

The death of a woman whose body was found at Hillier this afternoon is being treated as suspicious.

Police said a council worker who was mowing a grass verge with a tractor on Pearson Rd found the badly decomposed body at about 1.30pm.

Detective Inspector Mark Trenwith from Major Crime said police are waiting on forensic experts to examine the body and the scene.

“At the moment we are treating the matter as suspicious,” he said.

“There are some unusual circumstances surrounding the location of the body.”

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
