A knife-wielding bandit has escaped with cash after holding up a pharmacy in Adelaide’s southern suburbs last night.

Police say the man was wearing a stocking over his head and was armed with a knife when he threatened staff at the pharmacy on Main Rd at Blackwood just before 9pm.

He stole cash and wallets from staff members.

A staff member was assaulted during the robbery, but did not require any medical attention.

Police say the suspect is described as Caucasian, 188cm tall, warning a white baseball cap, white t-shirt, dark shorts, black sneakers and carrying a green shopping bag.

They have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
