State Health Minister John Hill is under fire over his claims there has been no ramping at Flinders Medical Centre for more than a month.
Staff say the hospital’s emergency department was overflowing as recently as last night.
Elizabeth Dabars from the Nurses Federation told 7News why ambulances were being forced to ramp yesterday.
“There were 81 patients in the Flinders ED (emergency department), yet they only have 52 spaces for safe patient care,” she said.
Health Minister John Hill said the problem of ramping had been on the decline.
